Western Australia expands Occupation List for Skilled Migration Program 2021
The State of Western Australia has announced on 05 July 2021 that it has expanded its Skilled Migration Occupation List that will be made available for nomination through the General stream. Additional occupations were added to the Western Australia Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL) and were categorised as Schedule 1 and 2 based on the related industries. Applicants under General Stream- Schedule 2 must meet the following requirements:
meet the criteria mandated by the Department of Home Affairs based on the intended visa subclass;
meet the minimum English requirements based on the occupation being applied for.
Have a full-time employment contract of at least 12 months in Western Australia in the nominated occupation or substantially similar to it.
Applicants whose occupation falls under the WASMOL Schedule 1 category, must comply with the existing requirements under General Stream.
