ABOUT US

About Christie Migration Agents

Christie Migration Agents was founded in 2016, but the process began ten years prior to ensure an agency was created that lives up to its promises. The founder, Belinda Christie, worked for a decade as an Australian Immigration Officer where she developed a passion for Australian Migration Law. After spending the time working for the Immigration Department and building her knowledge, Belinda decided to create a migration agency built on integrity, honesty and passion. Having migrated to the United States of America previously, Belinda empathises and understands the hopes and fears a client has when applying for a visa.

Today Christie Migration Agents helps clients all around the world either travel, study or relocate to Australia. Clear and honest advice is always provided by the agency. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Founder, Director and Senior Registered Migration Agent

MARN: 1682855

I decided to change careers and register as a MARA Registered Migration Agent after working for the Department of Home Afairs for nearly 10 years to assist those in the visa and citizenship process.  During my time as an Immigration Officer, I worked both in Australia, as well as in the Australian Embassy in Cambodia. I have assessed temporary and permanent visas, and I hate to admit it, cancelled countless visas. I even appeared on the Channel Seven show Border Security which you can watch here.

I completed my Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law from Griffith University and am registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARN: 1682855).  I also have completed an MA in Counselling from Monash University and often find myself assisting my clients with not only their visa process, but also talking them through the emotional rollercoaster that can often accompany the migration journey.

I have become a Migration Agent to use the extensive knowledge I have gained as an Immigration Officer and provide exceptional client service. One of the biggest complaints I heard from clients during my time as an Immigration Officer was their agents gave them the wrong advice and/or as soon as the application was lodged and the agent was paid then they could never contact their agent. I find this completely unacceptable and unethical behaviour and unfortunately with the migration industry unregulated outside of Australia, this continues to be a concern.

My goal every time is to provide an exceptional service with current expertise and be completely client-focused. I have emigrated to the United States myself previously so I can completely empathise with the client whilst going through the process. I understand the nerves and the fear and the hope the client is feeling. I am committed to providing a service that will provide the client with the best opportunity to visit, study in, practice business, live permanently or become a citizen in Australia.
